Young Adult Dark Urban Fantasy Author ~

I am a huge music fan. Obsessively so. Thankfully, for me, writing and music go hand in hand. I find that it can be hard for me to write productively without it. (I’m sure the repetitive wearing of ear buds will come back to haunt me later.) Certain songs or types of music inspire me like nothing else can and I find myself seeing, hearing and tasting every scene in my books through these sort of soundtracks that I have created in my head. I also find writers block to be almost nonexistent when I’m in this frame of mind. Food for thought.

  1. Is it a particular style of music, or particular songs? Instrumentals or with lyrics?

    • Wow, I’ve never recieved this kind of response. Thanks for all the comments. As far as the music preferences go in regard to writing, a lot depends on the story I’m working on at the time. I have two playlists in my Pages section for two of my WIP’s. Generally alternative but classical works for some scenes very well also.

  2. haha, well I did a bit of a search on the WordPress tags page and found your site, so I thought I would have a read! Now that I’ve caught up with where your story is at, I want to read it! haha. Hopefully my posts shall give you some sort of inspiration, however my blog covers so much, I’m always jumping from one thing to the next (too many hobbies!) But on my blog, I’m always talking about interesting topics that may give you some ideas!

Will be good to keep up with your progress and use it as inspiration!
